Distance Education Resources With an Emphasis on English

I have been teaching at Long Beach City College since 1971 at both campuses. I have taught Women in Literature, Science Fiction, American Literature, Modern Literature, World Literature, and all levels of composition. Having taught in the teacher centered traditional classroom for over 20 years, I became excited by the possibilities offered in the student centered classroom. In the last ten years I have been teaching online as well as in the traditional classroom. I find more camaraderie, more shared experience in the computer environment, which encourages students to take a vivid, active role in their own
learning experience. More voices are raised, more possibilities are explored.
