A
former student at LBCC, Nicole Glick returned
in 2000 as a faculty member. She graduated Cum
Laude and earned her B.A. from UC Riverside
as an English major and Women's Studies minor.
After earning her M.A. in English from Cal Poly
San Luis Obispo, she taught at the university
and locally at Allan Hancock College. While
pursuing her doctorate from UC Riverside, she
taught at Orange Coast College and LBCC. She
earned her Ph.D. in Fall 2004 and completed
her dissertation, "Transformational Poetry:
Ecofeminism in Jeffers, Snyder, Rich and Coleman."
.
She
enjoys teaching composition, particularly English
801AB and she often teaches creative writing
and literature courses, developing a Special
Topic English 2 on California Literature and
regularly teaching English 41-Early American
Literature. Students may find her at ongoing
Writer's Reading Series events with invited
authors who read and share their work and involved
with departmental and campus-wide activities.
When not enjoying LBCC activities, you may find
her surfing, traveling, hiking, or, most importantly,
reading a good book.
